ATV Safety Tips
SELECTION
Make sure your ATV is right for your age, size, strength and
skill level.
- For 16 years or older, ride ATVs with an engine size over
90cc
- For 16 years or younger, ride ATVs with an engine size under
90cc
- For 12 years or younger, ride ATVs with an engine size under
70cc
PROTECTION
Wear the right gear to protect yourself from the element and
accidents. Always wear a helmet, face shield or goggles, long
sleeved shirt, gloves, long pants and leather boots.
INSPECTION
Make sure your vehicle is in proper shape before use, each
and every time.
- Maintain recommended tire pressure
- Brake check - ensure correct adjustment
- Check fuel and oil levels
- Test headlights and taillights

ETIQUETTE
Be respectful of your environment, others you ride with and
the law.
- One rider per vehicle
- Keep those ATVs on natural ground, avoid riding on pavement
- Keep to designated trails
- Be courteous, leave road rage to rush hour L.A. traffic
- Never ride under the influence of alcohol or other drugs
- Supervise riders younger than 16; ATVs are not toys.
